founded in 1911 in Kansas City, MO. It's goal was to provide superior

Today the A. T. Switzer Company is owned and operated by the
fourth generation of the Switzer family, Alan, Bob Jr., Tom and Megan are
committed to continuing the upstanding family tradition. Robert L. Switzer
Sr. president from 1971 to 2003 was the third generation of Switzer's to
manage the painting company. He succeeded his father, Leon V. Switzer
1937-1971, who succeeded his father A.T. Switzer 1911-1937. Today, the
company continues to operate as a family-owned corporation and is one
of the oldest continuously family-owned painting contracting businesses in
the Midwest.
As an active member of the Painting and Decorating
Contractors of America, A.T. Switzer Company is involved in large and
small contractor projects. Known for its repeat customers, A.T. Switzer
Company can handle painting jobs for the Truman Dam to the Garmin
International Headquarters to the Overland Park Convention Center. The
company also has numerous tenant finishing clients who use Switzer's
experience in painting, wall covering, fireproofing, floor coatings, wood
graining and marbleizing. A. T. Switzer Company also has the capabilities
of off site finishing or painting. Projects as small as finishing doors to
as large as a special coating on steel is regularly performed at the A. T.
Switzer Company facility. Finishing items off site allows A. T. Switzer to
complete work without disturbing the owner's daily business.

1937-1957. Today, the company is located in the heart of Kansas City at
4720 Blue Parkway as seen in the bottom right picture. The current
location is larger and easily accessible to all parts of the city.
